Grant Coordination and Corporate Partnerships for The Festival Center

The Festival Center and Capacita work together on grant coordination and corporate partnerships to support their grassroots work building movements for justice. To expand their grant capacity, Capacita researched grant prospects using our paid databases and presented the Festival Center with a prioritized dashboard of potential funders. As part of our ongoing grant coordination services, Capacita project managed and drafted a compelling narrative for a lengthy, complex, government grant from the D.C. mayor’s office for a request for funding for the Festival Center’s current renovation project. The grant was awarded for $300,000, allowing Festival Center to continue upgrading their physical facility and serve more partners. Capacita also guided and advised the organization on procuring corporate partners for the facility including creating outreach materials and helping to identify prospects.

Grant Coordination Services:

• Helped the Festival Center prioritize applications, decide what to apply for, and how best to approach each proposal through a custom grant dashboard.

• Compiled, enhanced, and organized all required documentation

• Created collaborative templates for applications and project managed the application process

• Kept the team on task and on deadline
